Accounting Technician

HomeServices of Iowa is seeking an analytical individual to join the Accounting team as an Accounting Technician in our West Des Moines corporate office! The Accounting Technician provides essential support to the company by performing a wide range of accounting duties. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable processing and filing
  • Process offers and changes
  • Process commission, agent charges, and post close maintenance information
  • Complete review of all scanned documents
  • Provide backup for the front desk as needed
  • Perform other general accounting duties as assigned

 

Performance Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Two Year Accounting Degree
  • Basic accounting experience
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Accounting systems knowledge
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Real Estate background is a plus

Financial Analyst

HomeServices of Iowa is seeking an analytical individual to join the Accounting team as a Financial Analyst in our West Des Moines corporate office! The Financial Analyst will prepare financial and business-related analysis and research. Ensure practices are in accordance with company policy, accounting principles and regulatory and contractual obligations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial and business-related analysis and research to include forecasting, month end process, budget and board reports
  • Process accounts payable including coding of invoices and obtaining appropriate approvals
  • Assist agents in trend analysis
  • Manage expense reporting process
  • Commission structure analysis
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance reporting
  • Communicate results effectively with management, employees and parent company
  • Assist in the development of business policies and operational practices

 

Performance Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Financial reporting and budgeting experience
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • High technological aptitude to communicate with remote leaders
  • Expert level utilization of Microsoft Office including Excel and Access
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPA/Public Accounting experience beneficial
  • Real Estate background is a plus

Assistant Sales Manager

Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Assistant Sales Manager will recruit, develop and maintain an effective sales and support staff, contributing to company-wide objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, select, train, and retain new and experienced sales agents and support staff
  • Provide timely and effective support to sales agents related to all areas of real estate transactions by maintaining high visibility and availability for sales associates and staff.
  • Track sales revenue, number of customers, accountability of sales associates and their production, and district market share. 
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable company policies and procedures, real estate regulations and guidelines, and industry market information and trends
  • Maintain a positive and motivated office environment through good communications, strong relationship building and office events.
  • Actively participate in community activities, local and state board of realtors

 

Performance Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field with professional management training or equivalent work experience and knowledge
  • Two plus years of real estate experience with demonstrated sales success and strong transactional expertise
  • Previous management experience with success in sales associate recruitment desired
  • Solid knowledge of all aspects of state and federal real estate regulations
  • Must hold an active real estate license in Iowa; broker license is beneficial

Customer Service Representative – Iowa Title, Cedar Rapids

Iowa Title Company is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our downtown Cedar Rapids office! The ideal candidate will have experience in the real estate or legal professions.  The Customer Service Representative will provide timely service to customers and agents which may include any of the following:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to general inquiries
  • Address complex inquiries by directing customers to the appropriate department
  • Complete billing services
  • Input orders
  • Provide departmental support including computer input, reporting, correspondence, tracking documents, answering telephones
  • Perform necessary research to respond to inquiries

 

Performance Requirements and Qualifications:                 

  • Two-year college degree or equivalent professional knowledge and experience

Agent Services Representative  West Des Moines

Iowa Realty is seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team as a part-time Agent Services Representative at our Jordan Creek Sales Office! The Agent Services Representative will work closely with agents, brokers, and managers.  This role contains aspects of marketing, transactional support, and office administration. The ideal candidate will be personable and engaging with guests and visitors to the office and over the phone. The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-1:00pm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong customer service by answering phones and greeting visitors in a friendly and inviting manner
  • Receive, process and prepare paperwork related to real estate sales on behalf of agents and brokers
  • Create brochures, flyers/postcards, marketing materials, and promotional pieces
  • Maintain all company listings in the MLS system for completeness and accuracy
  • Manage the weekly tour lists and open house communication
  • Provide passive marketing support for agents through the ReSource Center
  • Distribute mail to agents, brokers, office staff and management
  • Order office supplies as needed

 

Performance Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Administrative, Clerical, or Customer Service Experience - Real Estate experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred but not required
